Anna Proskurina

Anna Proskurina has studied at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine, and has a Bachelor's in Applied Mathematics. She currently works at Democracy International in Cologne, Germany, as an Academic Project and Communication Officer. With the Direct Democracy Navigator, Anna will focus on sharing with the general public information about the project and the possibilities it provides. Anna is passionate about communicating to citizens the importance of direct democracy and participation, as it creates interest and awareness, empowers them to make change and see the positive results, and makes citizens see their actions matter. Her interests in politics lie within the use of direct democracy in divided societies and the potential of direct democracy in her home country, Ukraine.
 
Anna is involved in various communication projects within Democracy International. Her priorities within the Democracy Navigator are to present this platform for interested in direct democracy and develop a network of those who work on direct democracy all over the globe.
